The launch of Credendo – Ingosstrakh Credit Insurance in 2009 brings together the local leader of Russian and CIS markets of Ingosstrakh Insurance Company and the unique technical and international expertise of Credendo Group.
The Russian-Belgian insurer specialises in protection against risk related to trade transactions in Russian and CIS markets. Credendo – Ingosstrakh Credit Insurance acts as an external resource for its clients in underwriting and assessment of credit limits for clients’ counteragent, having the unique expertise in Russian and CIS markets within Credendo Group.
In an emerging economy like Russia’s, where trading conditions impose tough demands, reliable information is not easily obtained and few businesses publish accounts in line with IFRS. Therefore, a simple, standardised credit insurance product is of limited appeal. Credendo – Ingosstrakh Credit Insurance uses an intricate and wide business information network to offer a bespoke service, providing cover that is tailored more precisely to clients’ trading needs in this difficult environment.

The Sole Participant of the Company is HOLDING CIS (societe anonyme / naamloze vennootschap), established and operating in accordance with the laws of Belgium, located at: rue Montoyerstraat 3, 1000 Brussels, Belgium.
The JSC HOLDING CIS was founded by Delcredere | Ducroire and JSC Invest Polis, owned by Ingosstrakh Insurance Company.
The Ingosstrakh Insurance Company is a minority shareholder, which owns 33% of the shares, and 67% belongs to Credendo.
Ingosstrakh Insurance Company has been active on russian and international markets since 1947. During this period, Ingosstrakh grew from a small department of the USSR Ministry of Finance to a solid company with a broad regional network. So far Ingosstrakh is the largest federal insurance company and one of the leaders of the insurance market in terms of the amount of insurance premium received, the volume of insurance coverage and the main balance sheet indicators.
